Fall ushers in movie classics in need of watching.
Time after time I spend fall days people watching at the coffeehouse over a latte. Where is your best location for this activity?
Fall occasionally will give you rainy days. It makes life difficult. It also is amazing. I love rainy days, especially in the fall.
Jane Austen has been a mutual obsession between Busy and myself. The photo above is my birthday gift from Busy this year. We have even joked about joining the Jane Austen Society or attending an Austen Ball. Thus far, the birthday has been splendid.
The thirteenth is my birthday (tomorrow for the East Coast) and it is not an unlucky thing for me. My favorite treat is getting coffee delivered to me in bed, forget the breakfast. Last year I was surprised by a latte, and I’m hoping this continues to become a tradition.
My birthday seems to kick off the holidays. Halloween will soon be upon us and then we’ll be gearing up for Thanksgiving. Christmas shopping needs to begin so I don’t get behind. And before I know it I’ll be seeing Busy again and ringing in the new year. Time flies this time of year, which is sad because I miss the fall when it’s gone.
Twice a year my library has a book sale. It is something I look forward to each time spring and fall roll around. Another reason to love this time of year–acquiring more books.
Fall is the apt time to get baking again. I’m terrible at cooking, baking is more my speed. During this time of year the old classics come out again and the house starts to fill up with the smell of childhood memories mixed with vanilla and spice. Oatmeal raisin cookies are one of my favorites so I tackled this project late last night. Warm cookies are God’s gift to man. That should be the only way allowed to consume cookies.
Next on my baking list is something pumpkin (pie, cake, brownies) and anything with apple in it. Any recipe suggestions? And what are you baking this fall?
