Down Time

With a bit of time on my hands this weekend I am treating myself to the couch potato life. I have been reading from my TBR pile (trying to make a dent in my 2015 list). I am almost caught up on the television shows I have queued on Netflix. The last thing I am indulging in are movies.

I watched Cake (which I enjoyed and may have shed a tear or two) yesterday and tonight I finally got around to Gone Girl.

I read the book in April but did not get around to watching the film until now. It was well executed. I recommend getting the author to write the screenplay.

Which book to film projects have you seen? tell me if it was a hit or miss.

Oh, the places you’ll go…Seattle

If you could hop on a plane and travel anywhere in the world right this minute, where would you go?

I’ve only been to Seattle twice but the first time felt like I was returning home. Ever since then I have felt like I left a piece of myself behind. If you’ve never been, I highly recommend a trip there. It’s so hard to describe the vibe of the Pacific Northwest. I haven’t experienced a place like this anywhere else.

Some top spots to check out:

Things I love about this city:

  • Foodie heaven
  • Coffee galore
  • Music to soothe the soul
  • Water, mountain, city life

Basically I need to move here ASAP.

1t5s, Summer

When I think of summer I imagine adventures and time spent outdoors. This summer I have no grand plans but my adventures will be found in either books or outside soaking up the rays by the pool. I love the water so you will find me near it in one way or another. This is my least favorite season but I’ll make the most of it. My one summer goal is to get out more.

What are your thoughts on summer?
