One memory that always sticks out is cookies around Christmas time. Anytime I have the desire to bake I think about Christmas cookies. I am looking forward to Christmas and a break from the heat. I rarely welcome winter. Thank goodness summer is almost over. 6ish more weeks.
Fall is the apt time to get baking again. I’m terrible at cooking, baking is more my speed. During this time of year the old classics come out again and the house starts to fill up with the smell of childhood memories mixed with vanilla and spice. Oatmeal raisin cookies are one of my favorites so I tackled this project late last night. Warm cookies are God’s gift to man. That should be the only way allowed to consume cookies.
Next on my baking list is something pumpkin (pie, cake, brownies) and anything with apple in it. Any recipe suggestions? And what are you baking this fall?
