A loss of life has me questioning my faith/beliefs. I have never been keen to label myself one way or another. Rarely are things in life either black or white, we live in the gray. I am currently being tested on what I believe and I’m reevaluating my stance.
Today my family suffered a loss, one taken before given the chance to achieve. I am not sure what I do or do not believe but I know others are certain. I am leaning on you now. Say a small prayer or send good thoughts into the world for my sister and her husband in the next few weeks, today especially, and to our family in general.
I know others are in need as well, so tonight I’ll be thinking of you and wishing good thoughts your way. Also, I’ll be taking some time away from the blog to focus on family. Thank you in advance for your kindness and support. May your life path be paved with happiness and hope.
This little guy, not so little now, is under the weather right now. I am on cat duty tonight. We are not sure what is wrong with him but he is on special food now and has a doctor’s visit next week.
Since my mind is preoccupied this will have to suffice for an update. Hopefully more to write tomorrow.
What is your best memory of last year?
In 2014 we welcomed my niece into the world. It was an exciting time for my family. We have a small, close knit family so an addition was big news. My niece is the first grandchild for my mom, who is over the moon. My sister and I were the apples of her eye until the baby came along. Now it’s as if we don’t exist. I don’t blame her that much, Niecers is adorable. She’ll be spoiled rotten in no time.
The best memory about Niecers coming home was when she was introduced to the family dog for the first time. The dog is only 4 years old and was the baby of the family. He’s a long haired chocolate dachshund with personality for days. He was absolutely thrilled to have “a new toy” in the house. Below is the moment captured (the sniffing went on for awhile).
He may not be the baby any longer but he takes his new job as big brother very seriously. I can tell already that these two are going to be inseparable later.
