Throwback, Comedy Night

While living in Missouri you either prefer Kansas City or St. Louis, I was always in the first group. St. Louis was an unknown place and fear of the unknown plagued me. That was until the summer of 2008 when I started taking trips to STL rather than KC.

Great memories from St. Louis include the one above, a night of comedy at Fox Theatre with girlfriends. There are so many places to see in St. Louis but these are a few of my favorites.

MoKaBe's and Kaldi's Coffee

St. Louis’s reputation is now skewed by the recent events but it won’t stop me from visiting and recommending this great city to other travelers.

Throwback, Comedy Night

That time we went exploring…

Probably a decade ago, good lord I’m getting old, I went on a trip to take pictures with another photographer friend. We lived in rural Missouri and it was during the end of Spring (so warmer temps) which meant we didn’t want to be in the car for long. The destination was decided and off we went to Arrow Rock State Park.┬áThe jail above is located in the state park. It was used to hold one prisoner. On the way to the state park we stopped in a small town for lunch and roamed.

Blackwater Missouri

A very quaint town with a great vibe. Their main street has a few shops to stop in and while there you can take a look at the windmill that sits atop the town well. There are a few gardens around like the Chouteau Garden with the fountain or another water garden with a koi pond. We spent nearly an hour walking around and exploring. It is one of my favorite memories from the past. A beautiful day spent outside.
