Just Do It.

July may be nearly over but that doesn’t mean I don’t have time to kick it into gear and get organized this month.

Things I am doing right:

  • updating daily here
  • participating in picture a day
  • writing monthly pen pal letter
  • getting small projects done
  • staying positive

Things I should improve:

  • diet and exercise
  • make the bed
  • get one large project done each month
  • the inbox needs purged
  • deep cleaning once a week

This is only a small portion of what I am trying to get out of my head to help motivate myself to accomplish the goals.

how do you stay on task during the month? are to do lists your friend or foe?

Spring Cleaning

Spring is in full swing and here we are still working on spring cleaning projects. I wanted to give a rundown of what is happening here (I am a newbie DIY’er) in case you get inspired for your own project.

I find that there are three types of projects: mini, day, and big. Mini projects are small, done in no time things that you can do in the evening or on a Saturday morning, for example. Day projects take a bit more time and planning but stay motivated and you’ll be done by dinner. Big projects are those involving more steps and more planning. These will need time and energy to complete.

Mini Projects

Day Projectsa0ab91a0-8e2c-4de8-a610-c5af168e82f6_400 (most of these are on my Craft Pinterest board)

  • DIY rain barrel
  • Spruce up a room with new paint
  • Baskets made from newspaper

Big Projects

  • Vegetable garden
  • Curb appeal,¬†yard maintenance
  • Deep cleaning the home

what projects are on your to-do list?

Have a great weekend, readers!
