Spring is in full swing and here we are still working on spring cleaning projects. I wanted to give a rundown of what is happening here (I am a newbie DIY’er) in case you get inspired for your own project.
I find that there are three types of projects: mini, day, and big. Mini projects are small, done in no time things that you can do in the evening or on a Saturday morning, for example. Day projects take a bit more time and planning but stay motivated and you’ll be done by dinner. Big projects are those involving more steps and more planning. These will need time and energy to complete.

Have a great weekend, readers!
Halfway through spring which means summer will soon be here. Summer is my least favorite season; I am not sure why I dislike it so much. The only good thing about summer is going swimming and visiting the state fair–a yearly tradition.
My first concert was a state fair concert, some country music artist (I lived in Missouri after all). Most of the time I would check out the fair two or three times during the two weeks of the celebration. There wasn’t that much to see but it was something to do.
The other part of the fair that you always looked forward to was the food. The corn dogs made your mouth water. Sugar highs were common due to the funnel cakes and cotton candy. It was a good time to indulge.
I haven’t been to the fair in awhile. I hope to remedy that by visiting home during the summer when the fair is in full swing.

Last night it rained (off and on today too), it was glorious.
I am one of those people that loves when it rains. My mood gets lighter and my nerves calm down. My head seems to clear as if the raindrops wash away all thoughts. I love a good rainy day.
Last night was a perfect night, as I crawled into bed I heard it. CRASH. A thunderstorm was on its way. Big fat raindrops fell onto the roof in a rhythmic nature lulling me to sleep. It is the best way to fall asleep.
Tonight I resort to my noise machine to recreate mother nature’s music. It won’t be the same.
I have been updating daily for a total of 79 days so far. I didn’t think I had it in me to keep up with my blogging every day but thus far I am doing okay. *pats my back* Way to go, me.
Quick list of what’s up:

Reading outside. I love it and cannot wait until it is warm enough this spring to spend a few hours outdoors with a book.
Today we all lost an hour but we also were able to celebrate women.
Hey ladies, what’s cooler than being a woman? Nothing. Boom.
Happy International Women’s Day
Only 2 more weeks until SPRING! I am ready. Today I started my spring cleaning. Does anyone else spring clean each year? Most of my time was spent in the living room moving furniture around to a new layout. Tomorrow will be my bedroom’s turn for a new arrangement and some purging of items.
Like most people on the East Coast hit by the latest winter storm I spent a few hours outside today clearing snow from all the surfaces. We had around 7 inches to clear. There is nicer weather in the forecast and I am so, so excited that I am already making plans for activities I will do outside in the next week.
14 days left of possible gross cold weather so I made a list of things to do when I am stuck inside.
…I heard today was something on the Downton Abbey finale, but I cannot recall what was said. I probably laugh at least two or three times each episode, British humor gets me. Spring is right around the corner and it reminds me of the annual Peeps diorama contest.
